I fell in love with ballerina flats and have been wearing them since i fell while wearing those of wretched heels. besides spraining my ankle which healed overtime, i have an injured knee too, which i saw the physio for. ended up letting it recover overtime because i was too absent-minded to do what they told me to do. started running again with zwei and it feels good. but my knees no longer feel the same
oh well, takes time!
Oh joy’s back for good. my beloved chip! It’s so nice to have you back here. We can catch up on what we missed out on. everyone was therefore present that day. ![]()

psycho molly
February 5, 2010
i was all psyched about getting a pair of earrings at a little store in novena as they are one of the few diamond simulant sellers in singapore. plus it seemed like a really cute store. i wanted to buy a simple 4/6prong pair there because i am very careless and i don’t see the point in paying 10grand for a pair of actual diamond earrings. plus i heard that the jewellery they offered were all set in white gold not silver and thus would not tarnish. that’s the ‘technical’ part of it that men would not understand regardless of how many times you tell them.
When i was there, however, i was greeted by their lady boss who was in short, a total psycho. well the earrings aren’t that cheap, and i just wanted to know if they were all set in white gold, the hardness of the stone etc. i even asked what the materials used were really really nicely in my good old well-mannered way, all smiley too because i wanted it and was about to pay for it.
i wonder what got into her. she started telling us about hows shes a professional jeweler and how shes been in this line for sometime (4 years), and how her customers are doctors and lawyers etc. well honestly i don’t give a fuck. u don’t have to be a professional jeweler to sell simulants. you just need a good smile.
THEN. for NO reason at all she went on about how people shdn’t look down on her, she was brought up in a rich family her house was so so huge. and how she has 10 properties in singapore, that shes a millionaire. and how that awful looking ring on her middle finger cost her 300grand. my colleague and i were stumped and very amused by her pointless blabber.
Again, i don’t give a fuck. took it that she’s depressed, which she probably is, told her i’ll give it some thought and walked away. I’ve honestly never met anyone who bragged more. and especially not to strangers.
Well, all i needed her to do was to say “oh those look nice on you” and resume staring into space at the counter for me to make that purchase. now i have to look elsewhere because she is such a disgrace to womankind and i refuse to contribute a cent to her psychiatric fund.
Cotton Carousel’s next launch
January 26, 2010
i’m actually pretty excited about cc’s launch next week. there’s more variety to choose from. It’s a sprightly, more feminine collection that consists of some classics – chiffon, satin and good old cotton in gorgeous gorgeous shades, that are not only appropriate for chinese new year, but are also great for dinner dates and coffee with the girls. i’ve already set my eye on a few pieces that i’m keeping for myself.
Overtime, i’ve grown to be more particular about the details and material used for our items and may be including a 7 day exchange but non-refundable guarantee sometime in the future. Applies for customers who opt for registered mail. we’ll see how it goes. we’ve all bought something online, at some point in time that varies greatly from pictures, vice versa. so we know how it feels!
i cannot believe how unscrupulous some blogshop owners are and how they get away with it all the time, but let’s not point fingers and do what we can to differentiate ourselves shall we?
would like to thank everyone i know who has helped us in their own little/big way. i think it’s really heart-warming to know that we have friends who would actually go the extra mile just to help us take our baby steps in starting up something. There’s still much to explore. Personally, besides building the humble little blogshop, i genuinely hope to develop some good friendships with our customers in the long run.
Aren’t you bewildered by how some ladies can just get together and have so much in common. Guess it all revolves around a common interest in pretty things
heh!

Breakfast at 9pm
January 21, 2010
I colored my hair! i know it’s not a big deal but i’ve never done anything to my hair, other than cut it my whole life! because i’m sucha lazy bum i’m too lazy to even use conditioner.
got my haircut at a serangoon garden’s neighborhood hair salon, after going to the same person for the last 6 years. it was not too shabby and costs just a fraction of the price i used to pay.
Saw these gorgeous mbmj bangles and just had to have it. They don’t have them in the sg stores so siyu and i had to order it online. fingers crossed that they’ll fit!

that evil woman has infected me with her love for accessories haha.
Met up for dinner at dempsey. They serve breakfast all day round. eggs, bacon, sausages, hashbrown and toast at 9pm! hah.

She always has hers sunny side up.
i always have mine scrambled.

And we love and will always have that same iced passionfruit tea with aloevera pulp. I get a little high on days i meet up with siyu for some strange strange reason. It’s as if every bit of anger/sadness/stress from our daily lives have all of a sudden, disappeared…
hmm!
i am guilty of liking house a little too much. riverside’s original mix has been replaying like a broken record in my head.
Ship restaurant II
January 11, 2010
it’s almost 4 weeks since our dinner at ship restaurant and i’ve yet to upload the pictures.

We had dinner on the exact same date at the same old restaurant in 2008. they had the same christmas set menu as they did 2 years ago, and we had the exact same dish. Its a place for dinner if like me, you don’t like crowds. The steak wasn’t as good/worth the price as the year before so zwei and i may think of somewhere else to go this year. but what a pity! ![]()

our matching iphone covers.
though mine is more grey than white now.
We made it a pact not to exchange any gifts during anniversaries cause it’s silly really. it’s nice to receive something on a normal day when you do not expect anything. so well, i went empty handed and he actually got me a handmade card. till now i’m still feeling kind of guilty about it. hah. Subsequently, that little nugget gave me a store bought handmade card for christmas and my birthday. All in december, and all from gotten the same retailer at the same time! very efficient indeed. he refuses to tell me which retailer it was. the cards were really nice and simple i’ll take a picture and post them when i have the time.

when we first got together, i was a little apprehensive about posting pictures of the both of us. but i no longer feel that way. I love you hunny. thank you for making everyday a special day for me.
‘And maybe it’s true, that I can’t live without you
Well maybe two is better than one
There’s so much time, to figure out the rest of my life
And you’ve already got me coming undone
And I’m thinking two, is better than one’
i turned 23
January 8, 2010
I’m 7 days late. Happy new years littleluns!
so much for a bad start to 2010. i almost forgot to mention my wonderful wonderful birthday celebration planned out by my hunny bunny. my birthday falls on new year’s eve, so people usually cheer when it ends. that was probably the first time i counted down to the 31st.
saw my birthday present from joy in the mailbox just before i headed out for dinner.

too cute! HAHAHA thank you chip! can’t wait for you to be back.
We had dinner at white rabbit. the foie gras was good. but unfortunately, by the time we got there they only had enough for a really small piece.

It took him such a long time to search for the perfect gift and i must say, i love it!
he got me a wallet to replace the old one he got me 2 years back. for some reason my wallets always look like they’ve been used for a good 10 years. i vow to take good care of this one.

got an ang pow from mummy chen. she’s the most thoughtful aunty i’ve ever met. my mum on the other hand said “daddy also never get you anything” when asked. no need for excuses mee. my family do not have the habit of exchanging gifts. or rather we are not appreciative/ used to one another’s random gift giving. i gave my brother an ipod, got it engraved, gift wrapped etc and he said nothing. -_-

and just to thank him for being such a sweetheart. i gave him a treat, an idea that was somewhat related to my birthday present from joy. ![]()

a gingerbread couple! that came 5 days late because i couldn’t find a good looking pair before xmas eve.
